Backway Through Hell
Backway Through Hell is the third episode of Das Pacito AMV Warriors. It details Vladimir Lenin and Joseph Stalin's attempts to escape hell, while Baba Yaga and the remaining Das Pacitos organize and make plans for dealing with Mengele's OC apocalypse.
Summary
In Stalingrad, a sandwich server brings a cheeseless grilled cheese sandwich to Noboru Mochizuki as a gigantic swarm of bees – and OCs – heads towards them both. Mochizuki complains first about the lack of cheese, then shouts "there ain't no bees!"
Meanwhile, Baba Yaga drives her entourage of Das Pacitos across the Russia, with Mengele's OCs in hot pursuit, though she manages to shake them off. After several hours, the gang stops to refill at a gas station in the middle of Siberia, where Leon Trotsky vents his frustrations and Baba Yaga tells everyone of the history behind OC technology. She explains that the idea of bringing imagination to reality has existed for years, but rarely is taken any more literally than simply creating art. Marx had deemed the idea of bringing ideas literally into reality too dangerous, but Mengele (under the guise of "Doctor Joe") managed to convince him to experiment with it, saying they could use it to create super-soldiers that would end all war. Mengele's plan involved opening a portal to Hell, a "realm of individualism and creativity", in order to fuel OCs and make them last in the real world. Marx saw the idea was dangerous, and let Mengele become his Head of Science if he gave up the OC plan.
The whole time, Baba Yaga was suspicious, but said nothing as she was still adjusting to her body. After Marx's death, she snuck into Mengele's house and discovered that he had been using both the Nazis and Soviets as puppets to provide funding for his experiments. She followed Mengele and Lenin to the vault, but Mengele dissuaded her from entering with his regenerative abilities and a very large gun. She then acquired her van, the Funmobile, and caught up with everyone just in time to aid the Das Pacitos in their escape from Mengele's house. The gang discusses where to go from here; Baba Yaga wants to flee to another plane of existence, and Corn Cob Guy and Mikhail Bakhtin join her, but Trotsky creates a breakoff group (himself, Wikipe-tan, Great-Grand Daddy Yankee, and Luis Frosty) who travel to the League of Nations to request help. After everyone is gone, the OCs arrive at the gas station in pursuit.
Stalin and Lenin have just arrived in Hell, and are fighting. Lenin accuses Stalin of being a murderous dictator and correctly guesses he's behind the Soviet government's mass genocides, while Stalin accuses Lenin of being so naïve a Nazi took advantage of him. Soon a demon shows up and fanboys over Stalin, while Lenin feels ignored, pointing out that he has also committed genocide. Lenin convinces Stalin that they need to work together, as Baba Yaga told him the way out of hell and he can keep it from Stalin until the latter coöperates – and Stalin can protect Lenin with his newly discovered fame. They embark on their journey, but finding the highway through hell to be too congested, they take the backway.
Trotsky's entourage has made it to an airport. Trotsky is briefly confronted by the proletariat, but Wikipe-tan distracts them with a loaf of bread. They fly to Geneva during a League of Nations meeting and plead for help, but the League disregards their requests. John D. Rockefeller and his American businessman friends – the controllers of the League of Nations – show up and reject Trotsky more succinctly, insulting Russia on the side.
Baba Yaga's group, meanwhile, is driving through Siberia in the Funmobile. They meet the KGB, Lyudmila Pavlichenko, and Jerry, who escaped Stalingrad and helped citizens get to safety after the OCs attacked it. Baba Yaga shrugs and lets them into the van.
Lenin and Stalin make their way through Hell, seeing such sights as fire, brimstone, Caillou, cringe compilations, the DMV, forks fallen into ketchup, the Nine Circles of Hell, and so on. Finally, they reach a mall, where a shopkeeper is offering Magic Travel Clocks. They find it to be overpriced – ten million souls – but Stalin can afford it thanks to his genocidal efforts back on Earth. They also meet Marx, who has joined a coalition of Communists and is now trying to spread Communism through all of Hell. He reassures Lenin, saying the Das Pacitos must continue to fight for Communism on Earth as he fights for it in Hell. Stalin and Lenin leave as Marx begins a battle with Ayn Rand.
The Clock works by teleporting its users to random locations, so Stalin and Lenin must simply keep teleporting around until they find their way out. They arrive at the Crazy Noisy Street Corner, encountering Ian, Paula, and Toast, and immediately decide to keep going, now mentally prepared for the psychedelic adventure that awaits them.
