Karl Marx is a character in Das Pacito AMV Warriors, originally from real life. In the remix world, he is best known for surviving after his supposed death, jumpstarting the Russian Revolution with Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky, and founding the Das Pacitos in 1946 shortly before his untimely death at the hands of Tsathoggua.
History
Revolutionary
Marx was born on May 5, 1818 in Trier, Germany, the son of a Jewish lawyer, and grew up alongside his brothers the Marx Brothers. Entering his adult life, he became discontent with the corruption of political figures and dedicated his life to spreading peace and community in the form of Communism. He got married, had an anime made about him, and expected himself to die on March 14, 1883; however, it turned out that his bloodline couldn't die of natural causes. He moved to Russia, which he thought would be more amenable to communism, and after the First World War he violently overthrew the government, helped by Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky. The trio turned Russia into the communist Soviet Union.[1]
Inter-war period
On Christmas Eve, 1921, he took a trip with Friedrich Engels to the United States of America, where he and Engels were fascinated by the disconcerting displays of American culture all around them. The cultural aspect they were most interested in learning about was Christmas, and they got the chance to after a stolen wallet led them to the house of Mary Felthingson and her aristocratic family. There, all four family members – Mary, William, Robert, and Mari – taught them the meaning of Christmas, leading to the duo becoming embroiled in thievery, capitalism, and snowball fights. The Felthingson family hosted a party, but it was quickly derailed after the murder of Jimmy. Robert took them to the North Pole to fight Santa, where they quickly got caught up in a lengthy tale involving Krampus, Santa's elves going on strike, and Marx and Jonathan deciding they hated each other, then making up and becoming friends. After all of this, Santa concluded that Cthylla was behind it all, so they traveled to the world Christmas tree, where she'd attached herself, and Santa summoned his lawyer to deal with it. Marx witnessed this, but couldn't figure out what the lesson might be in all of it. After one final bout with the Drow King, they group-hugged. However, by this point Engels had gotten frustrated and returned to Russia, something nobody had commented on.[2]
Fourteen years after his and Engels' trip to America – on Christmas Eve of 1936 – Marx and Lenin were kidnapped by a cult and glued to a tree above a cauldron of boiling liquid. Marx explained the events of Christmas Eve 1921 to Lenin, and theorized that Engels was behind the kidnapping. However, he was quickly proven wrong; a series of reveals demonstrated that the cult was an anti-borscht cult who planned to boil Lenin and Marx in reverse borscht as punishment for Marx's love of borscht, and that Engels had in fact infiltrated the cult in order to save them. Marx flew into a rage at the cult's hatred of borscht, killed the cult members with a hammer and sickle. The gang promptly returned to Russia, where Marx and Lenin ignored Trotsky's pleas to better the country and instead had a dinner of Christmas borscht with him.[2]
Wartime
Eventually, World War II came about, which the Soviets were heavily involved in.[1] During this time, Marx worked with Doctor Joe, making forays into various projects and experiments. However, he considered many of these to be too dangerous to be revealed to the public, and had them locked up in a secret vault he had built. Chief among these was the creation of OCs, shown to him by a mysterious stranger named Rasputin, who he imprisoned in a cell in the vault, right next to Boyd Cooper.[3]
After winning the second World War by calling on Winter for help, Marx was fed up to learn of the Cold War beginning. In 1946, he thus decided to form the Das Pacitos, a coalition of pacifists with the goal of building a better world. After an extremely boring initial meeting, he was lured to China by Mao Zedong, and brought Lenin and Trotsky with him; the three were pitted against Tsathoggua, and despite Marx's pleas to Tsathoggua for peace, it killed him.[1] Lenin's bid to bring Marx back to life would later have disastrous consequences.[3]
