Joseph Stalin is one of the three main characters in Das Pacito AMV Warriors, originally from real life. He was initially hired as the secretary for the Das Pacitos, but quickly went off to pursue his own ends, chief among them being the takeover of the Soviet Union. He is a violent wannabe despot who tends to shoot first and ask questions later.
History (main canon)
Childhood
Stalin bullied Vladimir Lenin in their school years.[1]
Das Pacitos
Stalin puppeteered the Soviet Union behind the scenes, using its government as an instrument of mass genocides.[2]
After the end of World War II, he ended up working as the Das Pacitos' secretary. When Lenin, Leon Trotsky, and Karl Marx were being attacked by Tsathoggua, Trotsky called the Das Pacitos' secretary for help, unaware of his identity. Stalin sent help in the form of nukes, but it didn't reach China until after Tsathoggua had already killed Marx and the other two Soviets had already escaped.[1]
Taking control of Leningrad
Having found out about Marx's death, Stalin immediately assumed control of Leningrad, renaming it Stalingrad; searching through Marx's notes, he discovered the existence of Marx's secret vault, learned about Doctor Joe's true identity as the despicable Josef Mengele, and revived the KGB. During a speech where he proclaimed to the public that the Das Pacitos were no more, he was confronted by the very same Das Pacitos (minus some members who had left by then). They had an argument in Stalin's palace, where he inadvertently revealed the existence of the vault to the others, causing Lenin to break down and leave. On the topic of his takeover, he claimed he was only keeping track of the city and suggested the Das Pacitos needed to find a new leader, while simultaneously attempting to breed dissent and instability among them by making the false claim that Trotsky was an American spy. He held the others at gunpoint while sending the KGB after Trotsky, who barely escaped through the vents.[3]
After waiting eight hours with no result, Stalin started growing impatient. An officer of the KGB informed him that Lenin was attempting to resurrect Marx in the lab of the still-disguised Mengele – a panicked and upset Stalin traveled to the lab, taking the Das Pacitos with him as hostage. With the dark ritual already in motion, Mengele revealed his true identity and his plans to summon OCs from Hell, and though Stalin commanded his officers to shoot Mengele, the bullets had no effect. The Das Pacitos other than Lenin had escaped, and Mengele had blocked the exit, meaning Stalin and Lenin's only recourse was to jump through the portal into Hell.[3]
Escaping Hell
Once there, the two immediately began fighting, and their relationship wasn't helped when a demon began fanboying over Stalin and ignoring Lenin. Overjoyed to discover he was so famous in Hell, Stalin fulfilled the demon's request for an autograph, and began to make his leave. Lenin, however, persuaded Stalin to stay with him, saying that if Stalin used his fame to protect him, Lenin would share the escape route from Hell he knew of. The duo wandered through Hell, encountering such horrors as the Nine Circles, Hazbin Hotel, and high school.[2]
Eventually Lenin and Stalin found a mall containing a vendor of Magic Travel Clocks named Timmy, but found they could only buy it for the price of 10 million souls. They then encountered Marx, who happened to be there in Hell, and planned to stay there as he was part of a coalition of Communists spreading their ideas throughout hell. Stalin bought the clock thanks to his extensive genocides, and Lenin said a tearful farewell to Marx before the two departed.[2]
The only way to get home was to use the Clock to transport themselves to random areas continuously until finding their way home. The first place they ended up was the Crazy Noisy Street Corner, where they encountered Avocado Ian, Paula Denton, and Toast Michaelwaver.[2]
History (Chapter 69 canon)
In an alternate canon, Stalin and Lenin were both capitalists. They traveled through time happily, turning into Avocado Ian and Paula every time they teleported, and found themselves watching their future selves defeat and unmask Mengele. They watched as Mengele turned out to be Rick Astley and did a vampire skeleton dance while singing Never Gonna Give You Up.[4]
