turtlehat is a contributor to the remix tree, and the first major contributor other than ZiqwerkelSharda. Other than ZiqwerkelSharda herself, he is the user who has contributed the most projects to the main branch. In-universe, he lives in real life, and was one of the remixers influenced by Face the Consequences to create projects, until its hold on him was broken in my head hurts and he continued making projects of his own free will. He retired from making projects in 2019, which brought the remix tree to a complete stop, but returned after several months.

He also exists in an AU where he is shipped with himself.

The projects he's created can be viewed here; he also created 100 Remices, and worked on Crazy Noisy RPG-mix Tree with Mercenary_Connor.

History

turtlehat saw [WARRIORS AMV] Despacito :3, and was unconsciously influenced by Face the Consequences to start making remices. He was the one to add Killer Queen to the remix tree, one of the OCs that Matthew Rockefeller had sworn revenge on.

In turtlahbt amv time!!! :3 reemecks, he was part of an AMV made by ZiqwerkelSharda where he fell in love with himself.

After hearing ZiqwerkelSharda embarrass herself on microphone by badly singing Despacito in remix remix remix remix remix remix remix remix remi, he consigned himself to doing the same, and sang Great Days in JE NE M'APPELLE PAS despacitoast EXTREMIX.

A turtlehat DVD was produced, featuring turtlehat, fanmade versions of turtlehat 2, the turtlehat OVA, alternate-language versions of turtlehat, and another Scratch user, its_me_minning.

Eventually, he chose to retire from making remices, and announced this via a digital avatar.[1] This wouldn't last, and he later returned to making remices. In his first remix back, he reminded viewers to watch Dr. Stone, saying he'd brought the show to its knees.[2] He also recommended that viewers watch Vincent Tong.[3]
