DESPACITO AMV! :333 [asmr edition] is a project in the remix tree, and the twentieth in the main branch. Along with several other projects, its plot was included in Avocado Ian's rant in a nüeu paradigm of remicc!, [a.s.m.r. eliminated].

Summary

The player is confronted with a captcha that says "if there was no insanity it would be necessary to create it", which Joseph Joestar predicts them saying. As they type, a picture of Cassy slowly appears, and the player is not let through the captcha unless they have a high enough typing speed. Throughout the captcha and the following cutscene, calming music plays, and ZiqwerkelSharda whispers "do you know the Poffin Plan?"

A cutscene plays with Toast, Ian, and Paula, where they reënact a scene from the Deus Ex Malkavian Mod, while whispering the whole time, and with a sleeping woman in the background. In the cutscene, Ian takes the place of JC Denton, while Paula takes the place of Paul Denton, and Toast takes the place of Lobster. There is then a playable section in which Ian can walk around, and if he touches the toaster, an audio clip of Despacito will play, which Joseph predicts. The toaster tells Ian to walk to Toast, and when he does, he enters a Fire Emblem–style combat screen, and he shoots Toast with a GEP gun. Joseph Joestar predicts Toast's response of "friendly fire, friendly fire!!"

The project freezes and the background changes to the thumbnail of the plural of remix is remices. Ian realizes he's done this before, at which point Dio is shown asking the viewer how many loaves of remix they've eaten in their lifetime, and Despacito plays backwards. The player ends up in the wastelands, in a copy of I broke it again. When they walk into the house, they are greeted with the Jake Paul store, where they can buy sardonically-named paraphernalia relating to Jake Paul while listening to a very sped-up version of his song "It's Everyday Bro." When they proceed to check-out, money rains down.

Trivia

  • "Quality time with your family" is a sample of the Thanksgiving Song from Regular Show.
  • The "0" variable shown at the start of the project is only used to set Cassy's y-position. The variable is never changed from 0, so its purpose is unclear, except as an esoteric joke.
  • ZiqwerkelSharda chose "Minecraft" by C418 as the main background music because she thought it would give the player a sense of nostalgia that they wouldn't quite be able to pin a source to.
