Matthew Rockefeller, often known by their DeviantArt username Xx_warriercatz_xX, is the in-universe creator of [WARRIORS AMV] Despacito :3, and by extension the remix tree and remix world as a whole. They are very passionate about their Warrior Cats OCs, especially Pianolove and Gloryclaw. While they tend to be very serious and grumpy in person, they come across as much more chatty, emotional, and sometimes even bubbly in text form.
Born in the remix world but fed up by its illogical nature, they escaped to real life, only to inadvertently create the tree with their Stand; shocked by the realization that they had created the very world they hated, they became antagonistic and violent towards its residents. After a harsh defeat by Jacie Denton and Paula, they had no choice but to retreat back to real life; eventually, they came to begrudgingly accept the remix world, and returned to it, christening themself Remix Master Matthew.
Stand
Matthew's Stand, Face the Consequences, is a sentient Stand which takes the form of a poorly-drawn face. It has the ability to control people who see it and make them do what Matthew wants, but only in an extremely roundabout and unpredictable manner – for instance, when tasked with making certain OCs go insane, it did so by influencing Scratch users to create the ridiculous world of the remix tree and add those OCs to it.[1]
History
Origins
Matthew was born in the remix world on November 25,[2] 1937.[3] They came up with their Warrior Cats OCs, Pianolove and Gloryclaw, before they were seven.[3]
Genesis of the remix tree
Eventually, they used their Stand to manipulate ZiqwerkelSharda to create the first remix.[1] It claimed to be a Warriors AMV featuring Pianolove and Gloryclaw; in actuality, it contained a depiction of Face the Consequences in the remix world,[4] which in turn caused iangecko, turtlehat, and others to make more remices.[1] Face the Consequences was then part of the remix world, appearing in Consequence City.[5] It first just screamed at the viewer,[4] then being blown up by Killer Queen for a while.[6] It disappeared after the first few remices, letting the remixers do their thing.
The remix tree continued to grow and get sillier, still without including many of the characters that Matthew had sworn revenge against. They decided to intervene, using a "digital avatar" to enter the remix world.[7] Once there, they attempted to end the tree by creating the AMV to bring things full circle, but got quickly bored and fell asleep listening to ASMR.[8]
Crazy Noisy Showdown
They later returned to the remix world, going to the Crazy Noisy Street Corner when Paula, Ian, and Toast were hanging out there. They expressed their frustration with the remix world's chaos[9], and claimed to have concluded that Ian was the source of it due to his tapes, which proved that he remembered everything. Wanting to stop the chaos at its source, they shot Ian, and aimed their gun at Paula next; however, Paula used her Stand Crazy Remic to remix Ian's dead body, creating a posthumous Stand named Jacie Denton who caused a can to fly at Matthew and threw them off for long enough for Paula to KO them with Crazy Remic.[10]
