Hat, Turtle. "The Asthma of the Void, LEAKY LUKEY." /Scratch.owo.dio/, The Comic Irregulars, 26 Oct. 1490, titled simply Hat, Turtle. "The Asthma of the Void, LEAKY LUKEY." on Scratch, is a project in the remix tree, and the twenty-ninth in the main branch. It is the second installment in the Crazy Noisy Showdown arc.
Summary
The same intro as the previous project plays, with Great Remix playing over a group picture of every main branch character up to this point, and Mista being amusingly overlaid over everything. However, everyone's faces have been replaced with OwO faces, except for that of Xx_warriercatz_xX, who looks even more upset and disenchanted than he previously did. The song gradually becomes more distorted, and when the lyrics get to the word "insanity", that word loops over and over. The song then stops and the lighting focuses on Xx_warriercatz_xX in the picture.
A brief "previously on" montage plays, depicting the events of the previous project, with the user-submitted name as "Xx_warriercatz_xX": Avocado Ian discusses hanging out with Xx_warriercatz_xX, Paula points out they tried to kill him, and the trio of Ian, Paula, and Toast are confronted by Xx_warriercatz_xX, who pulls a gun on Crazy Remic.
The actual plotline of the project plays next. In a series of hand-drawn marker drawings, Xx_warriercatz_xX claims that Ian is the "binding force" behind the remix tree's insanity. They say they reached this conclusion after listening to his tapes, which show that he remembered everything that happened to him up to this point. They say that if they kill Ian, the remix tree will return to a cute Warrior Cats AMV, eliminating all of the chaos. They then shoot Ian, and Paula desperately punches Ian's dying body with Crazy Remic.
The style then shifts to a mouse-drawn style with music, visuals, and typography resembling the opening scene of Ghost Trick. A voice discusses how he woke up without any memory, and assesses the situation, before revealing that he's Ian, who is now dead. A second voice tells Ian to stop lollying around, and suddenly the art style shifts again. The scene of Paula and Xx_warriercatz_xX now has a dark red background and the characters are represented by solid-color silhouettes, whereas Ian now has a speaking sprite which looks like J.C. Denton in the art style of Ghost Trick. Ian questions what's happening, and the voice explains to him that he's in the World of the Dead, and that he can save his sister by using his Stand power to move his soul to a tin can on the ground. Ian does so and is able to control the tin can, whacking Xx_warriercatz_xX with it and allowing Paula to KO them with Crazy Remic. Ian is impressed at his own actions, and the voice reveals to him that he's not actually Ian, which is why he looks different: he's a posthumous Stand, Jacie Denton, created when Paula remixed Ian's body with Crazy Remic. Jacie resolves to help his sister out, and a To Be Continued screen shows.
The final scene is of the Popato Chisp spinning as turtlehat sings an acapella cover of Roundabout.

Trivia
- Its name is shortened on Scratch due to title length limitations.
- The fact that it is the only remix with a name too long to fit in the character limit means that it is technically the remix with the longest name.
- The title is written in the format of an MLA citation, and contains multiple references:
- "The Asthma of the Void" is a reference to The Miasma of the Void, Vanilla Ice, an arc in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders. "LEAKY LUKEY" is a corruption of Leaky-Eye Luca, a character from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Vento Aureo.
- The Comic Irregulars is the copyright holder for Mezzacotta. October 26th, 1490 is the date of a Mezzacotta comic which turtlehat had printed on a mug.
- The Notes and Credits include a number of references to Mobile Suit Gundam 0079:
- Icelina: Love's Remains is the name of an episode of Gundam, and the onomatopoeia before it is meant to imitate the episode title card theme. turtlehat thought the title card for the episode was funny because of how dramatically the English dub's narrator said its name.
- "WE'RE JUMPING ONTO THIS STUPID OVERACHIEVED BALOGNA" is a reference to Jumping Onto White Base, a YTPMV/mashup famous within the Gundam community.
- "*shoo*" is a reference to the show's eyecatch, which plays before and after commercial breaks.
- The entire scene with Jacie Denton and the mysterious voice is a parody of the opening scene of Ghost Trick. The visual style, music, and much of the dialogue is very similar; Jacie's case of mistaken self-identity is also reminiscent of Ghost Trick's plot.
- As the instructions allude to, seven teasers were posted on Discord by turtlehat leading up to this project:
- the project's thumbnail
- a sprite of Jacie Denton
- the background music for the hand-drawn opening scene
- a camera picture of the drawing where Xx_warriercatz_xX's gun is aimed at Toast
- the current code at that point for the cutscene sprite
- an animation of Xx_warriercatz_xX cocking their gun during the Ghost Trick segment
- a screencap of a dialogue box where a character (later revealed to be Jacie) questions how his power can help Paula if he's not alive
- In the shot showing Ian against a wall with Xx_warriercatz_xX's gun pointed at him, three toys can be seen in the shop window: a submarine, a number 2, and a letter P. Regrettably, this was shorthand for "Subscribe to PewDiePie," a slogan from when T-Series was about to surpass PewDiePie's YouTube subscriber count,[1] and before turtlehat became aware of his alt-right views. The form of the message itself was also an allusion to JaidenAnimations's segment from the 2018 YouTube Rewind, which included a similar set of toys on a shelf in the background.[2]
