Butterflies
The Butterflies are animals that appear in the remix tree, usually to signal the presence of Phoogo.
History
The butterflies swarmed around Phoogo as it slept, listening to "Sangenshoku" by Pelican Fanclub.[1] When Phoogo had been imprisoned behind a metal door, a single butterfly flew around in front of the door, and freaked out after the player opened the door. It tried to tell the player to escape, to no avail, as Phoogo overtook them both.[2] The next time this happened, the whole affair caused the single butterfly to multiply,[3] and it continued multiplying afterwards when in Phoogo's presence.[4]
Trivia
- Their appearance and original code were repurposed from a project by iangecko that was meant to memorialize ZiqwerkelSharda's late cat Reggie.
