Toast and Ian both lived in Ian's home, but didn't seem to know each other very well. When the duo were brought into the insanity of the remix world, Ian was very hesitant to accept Toast as an ally due to the fact that Toast was hypnotizing Ian and later giving him and his sister Paula orders. In fact, Ian actually shot Toast, though Ian was quite discombobulated at the time. Eventually, they stopped being paired up quite so much, with Killer Queen taking Toast's place. Later on, their dynamic changed; he and Paula started hanging out with Toast a lot instead of Killer Queen, and the trio became good friends.
