the plural of mice is mices is a project in the remix tree, and the nineteenth in the main branch. It is notable for revealing the name of Paula, as well as both her and Ian's last names.
Along with several other projects, its plot was included in Avocado Ian's rant in a nüeu paradigm of remicc!, [a.s.m.r. eliminated].
Summary
The player must complete a captcha that says "if there was no insanity it would be necessary to create it", and are not let through unless they have a high enough typing speed. A cutscene plays with Toast, Ian, and Paula, where they reënact a scene from the Deus Ex Malkavian Mod, with audio sentence-mixed from Half-Life scientist characters. Ian takes the place of JC Denton, while Paula takes the place of Paul Denton, and Toast takes the place of Lobster. There is then a playable section in which Ian must walk to Toast, and when he does, the Fire Emblem GUI appears and he shoots Toast, who cries "friendly fire, friendly fire!" turtlehat's silhouette making a thumbs-up gesture appears on the screen, followed by distorted music and the thumbnail of the plural of remix is remices.
