First Appearance

The Guardian of the Portal is a character in the remix tree who looks like a golden stick figure. He lives in Pico's world and is obsessed with blocking people from going through the portals between different levels, constantly finding ways to block access to portals.

He is pompous yet scampish, resembling a more mean-spirited version of Papyrus from Undertale.

Abilities

The Guardian seems able to alter elements of levels in Pico's world, such as moving the key around or adding red obstacles. This is influenced by his emotions at points, such as when he made an all-red level in sheer rage at Pico.[1]

History

He noticed Pico going through portals during his adventures in Pico's world, and attempted to block Pico from getting to the portal by blocking access to the key. However, Pico kept on finding ways to go through portals each time. The Guardian was enraged and attempted to kill Pico using red level obstacles, to no avail.[1]

Trivia

  • He was vaguely inspired by Papyrus from Undertale.
  • His legs have never once been seen.
